Want to work for the US Forest Dept?

Looking to join the USFS (Forest Service) and I have little experience with regards to my becoming a Ranger...I do have a tremendous amount of experience in Procurement, Design, Project Coordination and Logistics....Any direction I could follow with regards to utilizing my existing skills?.... Volunteerism toward this goal would be considered but do not want to do so within a department that wont aid in my reaching my goals as well as curb my procrastination's. Any help in my quest?
