Help with Amnesia: The Dark Descent?

I bought it and downloaded it from Frictional Games. I clicked download and the thing popped up and i clicked run and nothing else happened. Its im my computer as a short story series. And no i cant download any driver things because they all cost money and after buying the game I'm broke. I really want to play it. Please help.
